Comdial Introduces Converged Telephony Platform

An IP-Ready Telecom Solution for Small, Medium and Branch Offices

This modular platform combines the benefits of Comdial's industry-recognized FX II™ Business Communication System, Inter-change™ Unified Messaging
Call Processing Solution and Impact Attendant Console.

The platform addresses the Converged Systems segment of the IP-PBX market. Converged Systems utilize a combination of circuit and packet switching technology to maintain investment protection of legacy digital terminals and/or provide a backup in the event of call management server failure.

During the next several years, PBI Media-InfoTech projects that Converged Systems will emerge as the dominant IP-PBX solution over Telephony-Enabled LAN (IP-Only) and IP-Enabled PBX (external gateways required) alternatives.
